No. 8 Finish is one of the most reflective polished finish that is covered by the ASTM standards. No. 8 Finish is produced in the same manner as the No. 7 finish with the exception that the buffing is continued for an additional five to ten minutes. In the No 8 finish, the grit lines are much less visible. The resulting finish in No 8 is mirror-like but not of a perfect mirror.
