SS 304 butt welding fitting is made of molybdenum bearing austenitic stainless steel that provides improved corrosion resistance. These SS 304 butt welding fitting is non – magnetic in the annealed condition but may become slightly magnetic as a result of welding. SS 304 butt welding fitting has excellent corrosion resistance in a wide range of chemicals, especially in acidic chloride environments such as those encountered in pulp and paper mills. Increased levels of chromium, molybdenum and nickel in these SS 304 butt welding fittings improve resistance to chloride pitting and general corrosion.
