Hastelloy C22 Plate

A flexible austenite nickel chromium-molybdenum tungsten alloy, Hastelloy C22 is also known as Alloy C22, with improved pitting resistance, crevice corrosion and stress corrosion. The high chromium content gives good resistance to oxidizing media and good media resistance to the reduction of molybdenum and tungsten content. The alloy is also highly resistant to aqueous oxidization, including wet chlorine and mixtures of nitric acid or chlorine ion oxidizing acids.

Certain resistant corrosives of HastelloyC-22 plates include oxidizing chlorides, wet chlorine, formic and acetic acids, ferric and cupric chlorides, sea water, sprinklers and various mixed or polluted organic or inorganic chemical solutions. The nickel alloy also provides the perfect resistance to environments in which process sources are subject to the reduction and oxidation conditions. This is useful in multipurpose plants where situations such as "upset" also occur.
